Kärcher is the world’s leading provider of cleaning solutions such as pressure washers, vacuum cleaners, dry ice machines, sweepers and floor scrubbers, car wash systems, cleaning detergents, wastewater treatment systems and drinking water, water pumps for home and garden among others. Its main clients are located in the productive industry, the commercial sector of cleaning, hotels, agriculture, local authorities, shops and private homes. The company was set up in 1935 in Germany by the inventor Alfred Kärcher. Kärcher employs more than 12,000 people in 67 countries and in more than 100 subsidiaries. The development centers of the company have more than 1000 engineers and technicians are dedicated to the design engineering of new solutions.

The official representative office in Russia was opened in 2004. Currently, the company comprises 12 branches in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Sochi, Stavropol, Surgut and Tyumen. 180 Kärcher service centers that meet the international guarantee standards have been opened in 95 cities of Russia. Kärcher acted as a supplier of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi in the category "Cleaning services for events". As a socially responsible company, Kärcher carries out cleaning projects aimed at preserving architectural landmarks and historical monuments. In 2017, on the occasion of the 180th anniversary of the Russian Railways the unique historic building of Moscow Rizhsky railway station was cleaned. In the summer of 2018 the washing of the Alexander Column was carried out in Palace Square of Saint-Petersburg.
