Castolin Eutectic was founded in 1906 in Lausanne, Switzerland by Jean-Pierre Wasserman, who discovered a way of brazing cast iron at low temperature – a revolutionary process for the protection and repair of metals that would have been impossible to join otherwise.

And for more than 100 years Castolin Eutectic is a worldwide leader of application solutions in maintenance, repair and wear protection. We offer the total solution, which includes the brazing and welding consumables - powders and highly alloyed spray wires; the equipment - and the knowhow to apply the coating.

In Russia Castolin Eutectic is known since 90th. In 2000 Castolin Eutectic was merged with a German company Messer Cutting Systems, a global supplier of oxyfuel, plasma and laser cutting systems and a new holding Messer Eutectic Castolin was formed.

Now Messer Eutectic Castolin employs more than 6000 people worldwide and has offices, manufacturing plants and workshops in 100 countries on all 5 continents.
